        Itinerary

        Your journey across the Yucatán peninsula starts at the beautiful Riviera Maya. It doesn't matter at which part you are located, your tour guide awaits you at the reception of your hotel. If you decided to do a self-drive tour, you can pick up your rental car at the closes station. Your tour starts with a highlight of every Mexico tour - Chiché Itzá. This famous ruins is part of the UNESCO world heritage. After a tour you can take a bath at the Cenote Ik'Kil. Afterwards you go to Mérida.  Unterkunft im Hotel in Mérida, 3* standard
        In the west of Mérida you can find the biosphere reserve Celestún. The conservative area is rich in flora and fauna. Your drive takes about 2 hours. You can discover the area by boat. Look out for many different kinds of birds, for example pelicans, cormorants, different egrets, and the red Cuban flamingos. Of course there are also turtles, crocodiles and some mammals.         Your next destination is Campeche. Try the delicous seafoods before you go and explore the streets of the city. Compared to Mérida and the Riviera Maya, only some tourits are coming here. You can enjoy the flair of Mexican life with all its colourful buildings. Campeche is known for the many fortresses from colonial times, which are still in a very good condition.         Today you go back to the north and visit another important Mayan ruin - Uxmal. It's less visited than Chichén Itzá and Tulúm. After a tour around the ruins you continue your journey to Izamal, a small town east of Mérida. Ths town was a religious location for the Mayans.  Verpflegung: Breakfast
        It's time to go back to the Riviera Maya. On your way you are taking a stop in Valladolid. Afterwards you continue to Tulum, another unique Mayan ruin. After visiting the ruins you are going back to your hotel. Verpflegung: breakfast
