After your first Costa Rican breakfast you will meet your tour-leader at 08:00 am in the hotel lobby. Your guide will take you to the first destination, Tortuguero, also known as “land of the turtles”. You will drive through the Braulio Carrillo National Park, a lush rainforest. On your journey you will see some of Costa Rica’s most picturesque views. We will pass through banana plantations, the main economical activity of the Caribbean area. Most of the sweet bananas you buy at the grocery store at home are produced right here in Costa Rica and the surrounding Caribbean countries. You will go to the port and catch a shuttle service boat to your hotel. If you keep your eyes open, you may already see some crocodiles quietly swimming, or monkeys jumping from tree to tree. The park is extremely biologically diverse since it incorporates eleven different habitats, including rainforests, mangrove forests, swamps, beaches, and lagoons.  After you arrived at your hotel, you will take a boat ride through the canals and visit the Tortuguero village and the "Sea Turtle Conservancy Center".
