After arriving to the airport of San José and drive to your hotel (transfer optional). The rest of the day you can stroll through the city on your own. San José was founded in 1736 but only built up importance in the 19th century due to the cultivation of coffee. After breakfast you will meet your guide and will explore the city with him. During this city tour in Costa Rica's capital you'll visit the Teatro Nacional and the Museo Nacional del Oro. From San José your journey continues to La Fortuna. This location is very famous along travellers because you'll have a great view on the active volcano El Arenal. A local guide will take you on a hike in the Nationalpark "El Arenal". He can answer all your questions about the spectacular flora and fauna around. Your next stop on your journey is the cloud forest Monteverde. The hilly landscape is covered in fog and gives the area a mystic flair. In the evening you can relax from the journey. Hotel in Monteverde, 2,5* Standard   Breakfast

In the morning you can explore the cloud forest on your own. Later on in the afternoon you will go on a tour to the local farm El Trapiche. "El Trapiche" means sugar cane mill but on this tour you can see much more than just a mill. The farm is family owned and cultivates many typical Costa Rican goods, for example coffee or cocoa. They'll teach you about farming & processing, and give you the chance to taste some typical Costa Rican food.

From Monteverde you continue your journey to Quepos. It's in the west of the country and the perfect sport to start tours to the Manuel Antonio National Park. This was established in 1972, extends along the Pacific coast and adjacent to the land area is 55,000 ha in the sea. It might not be the biggest Nationalpark but one of the most visited ones in Costa Rica. This is due to the rich nature landscape. Today you will visit the National Park Manuel Antonio (entrance fee included) and go for a hike. If you are lucky enough you can find many different types of monkeys, sloths and coatis. In the afternoon you will leave this beautiful place and start you way back to San José. Today you say goodbye to Costa Rica. If your flight is not in the morning, you can go for some souvenir shopping and enjoy the Costa Rican culture one last time. We can transfer you to the airport of San José (optional.)
