Itinerary

Welcome to Sumatra! Your tour begins in Medan, the fourth largest city in Indonesia. Approximately three million people live here, and in the surrounding area, you'll find many Tobacco, tea, and palm oil plantations. Medan is a multicultural city with a variety of fascinating temples. We recommend visiting the Mesjid Raya, the sultan's palaces of Istana Maimoon or Parisada, and the Dharma Hindu Temple. In the morning you'll drive through the wonderful landscape to the island Samosir. This island lies in the middle of the Toba-Lake, which is one of the biggest in South-east Asia. Your journey takes you to the middle of nature. Your destination is Bohorok, where you can find the Gunung Leuser Nationalpark, which is one of the world biggest, and the Orang-Utan rehabilitation centre. Today’s route will take you from Sumatra to the island Java. After your arrival to Yogikarta you have time to explore the city on your own. Unterkunft im Overnight Stay    Verpflegung: Breakfast
Today you have time to explore Yogykarta. If you would like to, you can use the Becak, a bike taxi, to explore the city. During this tour you can discover many impressive buildings and find out more about the history. Today you'll travel to Malang by train, an important region for growing tobacco and teak which is surrounded by four volcanoes. This place is popular due to its pleasant climate and old colonial flair. Visit the Tugu Monument, explore the flower and bird market, or go for a stroll through Chinatown. Your route for the day will take you to the Bromo-Tengger - Semeru National Park. You'll stay overnight in the village of Cemoro Lawang, which is on the edge of the Tengger caldera. The caldera crater was formed millions of years ago and seven smaller volcanoes have emerged from it. The Bromo is the most famous among them and remains active. Early in the morning you'll take the Jeep to a lookout point from which you can watch a beautiful sunrise (optional). You can then cross the Tengger crater and climb up to the crater rim of Mount Bromo. Afterwards we'll return to the hotel for breakfast. Naturally, you can stay at the hotel in the morning and see the sunrise from there if you prefer. After breakfast you'll drive to Ketapang. Unterkunft im Overnight Stay    Verpflegung: Breakfast
Today you can visit the crater of the Ijen volcano in the morning (optional). During the hike you will see men with heavy baskets full of sulphur. They go up and down up to five times a day!  Unterkunft im Overnight Stay    Verpflegung: Breakfast
It is time to depart Ketapang. We'll drive you to Banyuwangi where you'll transfer to a ferry that'll take you to Bali. On the so-called ‘island of gods and demons’ you'll see beautiful rice plantations, discover a fascinating culture, and observe Hindu Dharma festivities and ceremonies. Throughout the island you'll find small offerings left for the many ghosts. Your first destination in Bali is the artists' village of Ubud. Unterkunft im Overnight Stay   Verpflegung: Breakfast
There is plenty to do in Ubud and the surrounding area. Stroll through the streets, browse the shops and art galleries, visit the market, take a cooking class, hike in the Monkey Forest, spelunk in the Elephant Cave, explore a coffee plantation, or rent a bike or a scooter -  there is something here for everyone! Today you'll drive to the last stop of the tour, peaceful Sanur. This beach paradise is on the east coast of the island, about 15km from the tourist center of Kuta. Here you can spend the last few days relaxing on the beach. The coast is preceded by a reef, which breaks the waves and makes it an ideal place for swimming. Today you can spend the day at the hotel or on the beach – surf, dive, sail, go waterskiing, or simply enjoy a massage. If you'd like, you can also take a day trip to the temples of the island such as the Pura Tanah Lot. You may also wish to drive to one of the beaches in Kuta, Legian, or Seminyak, go shopping in the shops, or explore a little more of Bali. Unterkunft im Overnight Stay    Verpflegung: Breakfast
Today is your last free day in Sanur. There is still a lot to do around Sanur. You may go on an excursion to the Goa-Lawa-Temple, to Ujung with the beach of Pasir Putih or the waterpalast Tirtagangga, only mentioning a few possiblities. Unterkunft im Übernachtung    Verpflegung: Frühstück
Today is the last day of your Indonesian tour. Before you leave for the airport you can enjoy one last breakfast on this beautiful island and take a last dip in the Indian Ocean. If you want to extend your stay we are more than happy to help you do so! We wish you a pleasant journey home and we are sure that you'll be taking many beautiful memories back with you! Important Information

  • If the tour starts with less than 8 participants you will have two different guides. One at Sumatra and the other at Java and Bali
  • The accommodation is organized in double rooms. If you are travelling alone, you can share a room with another person of the same sex. If you wish to stay in a single room, please let us know on your inquiry.
  • For your arrival to Indonesia at the international airports Jakarta, Denpasar/Bali, Medan, Surabaya and Batam no visa is required. It's still possible that you get a Visa on arrival.
