Itinerary

Pack warm clothing because you'll experience a cold climate here, as La Calafate is located directly on the shore of Lago Argentino. Don't let its cooler temperatures turn you off though, for there are breathtaking views to be enjoyed here. After arriving at the hotel, feel free to rest or take a stroll and start experiencing the town. The main street, San Marin, is lined with many bars, restaurants and souvenir shops, so it's a great starting point for any traveler. For dinner, we recommend trying a typical local restaurant and ordering a popular lamb steak with a glass of Pinot Noir. A true delight! Unterkunft im Hostería Cauquenes de Nimez (or similar)
Today you will experience a real highlight of your trip! You will be picked up early at your hotel and drive about 80 km to the south, where you'll arrive at your days destination: the Perito Moreno Glacier. The impressive play of colors, and force and beauty of the glacier is a dream for any Patagonian traveler. On this excursion, we offer two different routes so you have the opportunity to enjoy the best possible view. Be sure to keep your camera ready, as you'll be immersed in picturesque sights. You can also take an optional boat ride closer to the glacier. Enjoy a meal at one of the many nearby cafes and restaurants with the glaciers in view. Don't forget to pick up a souvenir before you leave in the late afternoon. After such an eventful day, you'll be transferred back to your hotel where you're free to rest and relax. Unterkunft im Hostería Cauquenes de Nimez (or similar)    Verpflegung: Breakfast
If you can not get enough of the colors and the majestic sight of the glacier, we have several offers to extend your stay in El Calafate. A great idea would be a visit to the glacier museum.
