Mérida & Ruta Puuc Mini Trip
On this trip you'll not only be able to explore Mérida, but on your second day you'll travel to Ruta Puuc as well. Mérida is known as "The White City" due to its white colonial buildings found all over the city. It's the largest city in the Mexican state, Yucatan, and a big financial capital as well. Here you'll see a great mix of modern and traditional culture through museums, restaurants and shops. Of course you'll experience the most history when you travel to Ruta Puuc, which contains five Mayan archaeological sites. Unlike some other ruin sites in Mexico, Ruta Puuc is far less traveled, providing you with a more intimate experience. Whether you decide on this trip, or our other trip to Mérida & Chichen Itza, you are sure to have the perfect balance of old and new.
