Upon arrival in the small town, you'll be able to easily reach your acommodation by foot. Of course, you can also take one of the many taxis in the area. After settling in, why not take a stroll through the narrow streets of the colonial city. You'll see houses of mud bricks with red roofs lining the cobblestone streets. For dinner, check out one of the cozy restaurants and discover the specialties of the Hunduran cuisine. Unterkunft im Hotel Camino Maya (Classic)* / Hotel Marina Copán (Comfort)*

Today you'll head out early for the Mayan ruins, only located 2km from the small village where you're staying. Though this archaeological site is smaller and less known than the famous ruins in Mexico, this site is equally impressive in its importance and craftsmanship. At the site, you have the option to hire a local guide to show you through the complex and see great monuments, such as a staircase of hieroglyphs with the longest known Mayan text. Another great idea is a visit to the sculpture museum next door. In the afternoon, you'll have free time to relax or book one of our exciting optional offers. Today is your last day in Copán Ruinas, but it doesn't have to be your last day in Central America. From here it's easy to take a bus to Guatemala or the Honduran Caribbean coast, which we can help you to organize. We recommend visiting Cafefinca Santa Isabel where you can learn more about the cultivation and processing of coffee. For a relaxing time, go to Luna Jaguar and visit the natural thermal springs.
