With 13 different ecosystems, home to many endangered animals, the Corcovado National Park on the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica is one of the most biodiverse regions. See the largest population of jaguars, tapirs and bright red macaws throughout the park with a guided hike. And approximately 16 km from the mainland is the Isla de Caño, where history and action will come together for you. Visit grave sites of the Brunca Indians or go snorkeling and diving in the many great sports around the island. On this trip, rainforests, cloud forests and beaches await you!

Itinerary
Today you'll arrive in Corcovado. Depending on which accommodation you've chosen, you'll either fly into Drake Bay or Palmar Sur. Settle in, then enjoy the rest of the day at the beach, hopefully in time to catch a beautiful sunset!

Take advantage of the early morning to observe animals in their natural habitat. Then you'll explore the Corcovado National Park through a guided hike. Learn about the life of the rainforest and the colorful birds you'll see along the way. Later on, you'll walk along a river bank and be able to cool off in a waterfall. Enjoy a picnic lunch before returning back to your hotel.

Today you'll leave the mainland and head to the nearby Isla de Caño where you'll experience history and nature. See the various hand-carved stones thought to mark graves of a native tribe who inhabited the area during pre-Columbian times. But the real purpose of this trip is to dive into the sea and explore the underwater world of colorful fish, turtles and sea sharks as you snorkel. You'll head back to your hotel around noon and with luck, you'll see dolphins and whales on the boat ride back.
