Excursion to El Nicho Waterfall
Located just outside of Cienfuegos, the „El Nicho“ Waterfalls are the perfect example of Cuba’s natural wonders. Your trip to this must-see attraction will take you through the Sierra del Escambray Mountain Range where the Hanabanilla River meanders through lush vegetation before cascading into the emerald rock pools of the El Nicho Waterfalls. Do not forget your swimming clothes as you really do not want to miss out on the opportunity to take a dip in the crystal clear waters! Should you not fancy this, you can continue to explore the surroundings for yourself, either on foot or by taking an optional horseback ride.

Waterfall El Nicho
Cienfuegos was founded in 1819 and is now the 6th biggest in Cuba. Located at the Bahía de Cienfuegos, at the south coast of Cuba, the port of Cienfuegos was the biggest for the export of suger worldwide. Beside the sugar industry, the crab and tobacco industry were important for the city. About 50 km from Cienfuegos you can find the breathtaking waterfall "El Nicho". The excursion to this waterfall is full of nature highlights. Shortly after your departure in Cienfuegos you reach the foothills of the Sierra del Escambray. Here you can find the Hanabanilla river meandering itself through the lush green surroundings until it crushes down into a turquoise green pool. Here, under the waterfall El Nicho, you can take a refreshing bath. If you don't feel like swimming, you can also visit the surroundings on your own or on an optional horseback ride.Services:
