This bicycle tour of Cuba is perfect for cycling enthusiasts and people who want to get to know most of the country. On this tour you explore Cuba from West to East in 13 days. Isolated beaches and famous cultural monuments, idyllic landscapes and lively cities - on this tour you get to know the country with all its diversity. On some days you are accommodated in private houses and get the chance to meet the locals and get an insight on their everyday life. The cycling tour is perfect for sport enthusiasts but also for people with less cycling experience. The hilly east will demand some more endurance while the west will impress you with relaxed cycling trails. Our guide will adapt to the fitness level of each group. Route of the cycling tour "Coast to Coast"
You start your journey in the capital Havana. The lively city will impress you with a mixture of tradition and modern life. Afterwards you continue eastwards and visit the colonial towns Cienfuegos, Trinidad and Camagüey until you reach Santiago de Cuba, the secret capital of Cuba. In the east you discover the hilly landscape on roads with almost no traffic, along pictureous coastlines and beaches. Your journey ends in Holguin.

Itinerary
After your arrival to Havana you can use our optional transfer to get to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time you already have the opportunity to stroll through the vibrant metropolis.

Hotel in Havana, 4* Standard This day is dedicated to explore the world heritage city Havana. You will meet your guide at 8.30am and start together into your first day of adventures. The city tour leads you through the historic centre of Habana Vieja. You will visit the four squares Plaza de Armas, Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza Vieja and Plaza de San Francisco. Afterwards you drive through the modern part of Havana in a classic car. In two hours you can see famous places like the Capitol or the coastal street Malecón.

Hotel in Santa Clara, 3* Standard Breakfast, Dinner The day starts with a city tour through Santa Clara. Many monuments will make you realize how important this city was during the Cuban Revolution. You will visit the grave of Che Guevara. If you would like, you can also visit the museum or the monument of the Tren Blindado (optional). Afterwards you will go by bus and bike to Cienfuegos, the "pearl of the south". One of the most impressive buildings of this city is the Palacio de Valle (entrance optional) with it's different influences. The day ends with a transfer to Trinidad. During the 19th century the region operated more than 50 mills which led to impressive wealth of the city Trinidad. On your way you will see many fields of sugar cane and have a stop at the slave tower Torre Iznaga. You can climb the stairs of the 50m tower and enjoy the fantastic view (optional). These are calles Tinajones and served as rainwater reservoirs in times of water shortages. In the afternoon you will go to Manzanillo, a little town at the coast. - *Casas Particulares are private houses of Cuban locals, who offer rooms to tourists. On request they are happy to cater you with a delicious breakfast (5-6 CUC) or even a lunch and dinner (10-12 CUC each). Let them know at your arrival.
