Santa Clara & Trinidad

What to expect...
Both Santa Clara and Trinidad are cities that should not be missed when traveling to Cuba. Santa Clara is home to several historical attractions, including the mausoleum of Che Guevara, the hero of the Cuban Revolution. Trinidad was previously a significant sugar processing city. In its city center, you will see many buildings from this time period. Plus, only a few kilimeters from Trinidad is one of the most beautiful hiking regions of Cuba, which you will also get to experience. This mini trip perfectly combines two great cities, while providing enough time in each to really explore and sightsee. What are you waiting for?

Today you'll arrive in Santa Clara, the heart of Cuba. Depending on where you are coming from, you may have to leave fairly early in the day. Though from Havana, it's less than 300 km away, so be sure to look at your travel time and adjust accordingly. When you arrive in Santa Clara, the day is yours to explore the city and sights. Santa Clara has great historical importance as it is the place where the last and decisive battle of the Cuban Revolution took place. The morning here is yours to use as you will. We recommend seeing several buildings to commemorate the success of the revolution and this battle. Some of these attractions include a museum, monument and tomb of Che Guevara and the Tren Blindado Memorial. In the afternoon, you will make your way to Trinidad. If you are not traveling by rental car, we can help arrange an optional transfer for you. Unterkunft im Hotel Las Cuecas / Casa Particular  Verpflegung:Breakfast (if staying at the hotel)
In the morning you'll head out for your guided trek in the Topes de Collantes National Park. This park is located in the Sierra del Escambray mountain range and is characterized by lakes, rivers, waterfalls and underground cave systems. In the afternoon, you have free time to explore the colonial heart of the UNESCO World Heritage city. Today is your last day in Trinidad, but don't worry, you have several great nearby destinations for you to continue your trip. In the west, there is Viñales Valley and Las Terrazas.
