Your journey on the Pearls of Indonesia group tour begins in Sanur, near the famous diving spots of Tulamben. Then you'll travel to the cultural center of Ubud, get to know a part of Lombok, relax on the Gili Islands for some South East Asian flair, and finish up your tour in sunny Seminyak!

Itinerary
Selamat Datang (Welcome)! Your trip to Bali and Lombok begins in Sanur, about 20km away from Denpasar, the capital of Bali. Here you'll find many beautiful hotels built in the Balinese-style, numerous restaurants, and charming boutiques. This is the perfect place to start enjoying the pleasant climate and learning about the fascinating Balinese culture. Take a walk along the beach, go for a swim, or book one of the many excursions available on the island. Overnight Stay
Today you can relax on the beach, sunbathe, swim, read a book ... it’s up to you! If you'd like, you can also take a trip to some of the temples on the island (optional). You'll see a Barong dance show and then visit the Pura Taman Ayun and the Pura Tanah Lot temples. This is the famous sea temple and it can only be reached at low tide. Overnight Stay Breakfast
Today your guide will take you through the center of Bali all the way to Lovina. First, we'll stop at Lake Bratan where you'll be able to view the Pura Ulun Danu temple, which is located 1240 meters above sea level. We'll also take you to see the famous Gitgit waterfall and to the Botanical Gardens in Bedugul. Enjoy the exciting journey through the tropical rainforest before arriving in lovely Lovina. Relax on the quiet, black volcanic sand beach, go swimming in the sea, or dive and snorkel off the coast of Tulamben! In the morning you can also choose to take a boat trip to see dolphins (optional), or you can rent a scooter and explore the area on your own. You may want visit the Gedung Kirtya library, found just 5 km away in Singaraja. Overnight Stay Breakfast
Today you'll first drive to Kintamani, from where you'll have a stunning view of the Batur volcano next to the lake of the same name. We'll then drive to Gunung Kawi where you'll find an impressive temple complex and nine wooden monuments carved into two opposing walls of tufa rock. In Pura Tirta Empul there is a temple pond fed by a spring where the Balinese people come for purification. In the afternoon you'll reach the final destination for the day, beautiful Ubud. Ubud is the cultural center of Bali and it is a great place to buy souvenirs as many traditional clothes and crafts are made here. The Balinese are known for their impressive handmade carvings. Sometimes you can watch carvers in front of their shops showcasing their craft. Be sure to visit the famous Monkey Forest and see the delightful monkeys! If you're willing to venture a little outside the city there are excursions available to the Elephant Cave of Goa Gaja and a beautiful local coffee plantation where you can taste different kinds of tea and coffee. Today your trip continues to the neighboring island of Lombok. First we'll drive you to Padang Bai and from there you can take the fastboat to Lombok. After a two hour ride you'll reach Senggigi, where you can spend some time relaxing on the beach. If you'd like, you can participate in an optional three-day hike to the Rinjani volcano (April-November). Travellers who participate in the hike will meet up with the rest of the group on the Gili islands. Overnight Stay Breakfast
Early in the morning we'll head to Tanjung Luar on the East Coast. This town is well-known for having the biggest fish market on the island – here you can get Sharks and giant stingrays among many other varieties of fish. We'll then continue onwards to Tetebatu which is located at the foot of Rinjani. Here you can go for a picturesque walk by rice paddies and tobacco fields. The last stage of today’s journey will bring you back to Senggigi, where you can relax on the beach or go diving and snorkelling in the nearby coral reef. Overnight Stay Breakfast
Before you have to say goodbye to Lombok you'll have time to visit the Narmada Water Palace, the so-called “fountain of youth” and its gardens which date back to 1805 (optional). We'll then take a local boat to the Gili Islands - Gili Air, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan – three small, tranquil islands located between Lombok and Bali. These islands are known for having a certain amount of Caribbean flair and you'll surely hear Bob Marley and other reggae sounds during your stay.
Overnight Stay Breakfast The most common vehicles for transportation used on the Gili islands are horse-drawn carriages and bicycles, so people mostly walk. This is a great time to go for a walk or, if it’s not too hot, a bike ride! There are many delicious restaurants on this tranquil island so you'll have many options for dinner. There is even a pizzeria here in addition to the many restaurants serving traditional Indonesian fare. Overnight Stay Breakfast
Spend the day soaking up the sun, swimming, snorkeling, or diving. If you choose to go on a diving excursion you might even see a giant sea turtle. If you’ve already had enough sun then you can spend the day sipping cocktails in the shade and listening to relaxing island music at one of the many beach bars. Overnight Stay Breakfast
Today you'll head back to Bali on a speedboat! You'll arrive in the port town of Padangbai before travelling to your hotel in Tuban in the south of Bali by bus. En route you will see the beach towns of Kuta, Legian, Seminyak and Tuban which have developed so much in recent times that it is no longer clear where the various boundaries are. Today you can relax on the beach, go surfing, shop for souvenirs, or enjoy a traditional Balinese massage at one of the many spas. You can also find carvings, baskets, jewellery, 'antiques', clothing, batik cloth or paintings. Overnight Stay Breakfast
Today is the last day of the Pearls of Indonesia tour. Depending on your flight’s departure time you may have some more time to explore Seminyak. Enjoy your last breakfast on this island paradise, get another Balinese massage, or take one last dip in the cool waters of the Indian Ocean. If you aren’t ready to go home just yet then we are more than happy to help you extend your stay. We wish you a pleasant journey home!

Important Information
- The accommodation is organized in double rooms. If you are travelling alone, you can share a room with another person of the same sex. If you wish to stay in a single room, please let us know on your inquiry.
- If there are less than 8 participants on the tour, your guide will change after half of the tour
- The optional 3-day hike to the Rinjani volcano at Lombok is possible from April to November. You are hiking about 7-8 hours daily and sleep in tents. You will skip the nights in Senggigi and meet the rest of the group at Gili Islands.
- For your arrival to Indonesia at the airport Denpasar/Bali no visa is require. It's still possible that you get a Visa on arrival.
- We recommend hepatitis A and B and rabies vaccination. For more information you can read our general travel information about Indonesia.
